Can anyone tell me if this fuel pump will work on a gen 1 sho? I believe 89 and 90 91 are different. I looked at the the parts spreadsheet on this forum and the above number is close but not exact. Can anyone shed some information on this?

What year car do you have?

OEM 89 #
E9DZ-9H307-B

OEM 90-95 #
F3DZ-9H307-D

I don't recall the difference unless electrical connector is different. If not then get a cross ref part that flows enough

Walbro replacement kits list 89-95 28GPH

Any similar style and flow should work.

I would recommend the Walbro aftermarket unit or similar. Get a kit that includes a strainer. You can look at rockauto. I think they only list maybe 2 brands. It is a dwindling market for parts available.

The SHO uses a slightly stronger pump over the non-SHO. I'm not at work right now or I would give you more info.

Get a 155lph Walbro. Buy directly from Walbro. They have a direct purchase site. Do not buy one from ebay or Amazon. Plenty of imitations out there. The 155lph can be used safely without over powering the pressure regulator.

I will only buy Walbro pumps and I only buy directly from Walbro.
