I need some emergency brake cables. I know that I need the front one, but there are the driver side and passenger side also. I have the one that connects from the pass. side to the driverside, but I don't know which one is the right one to get. I also need that bracket that connects the front cable to the cable that goes the the passenger side. Hopefully someone understands what I'm trying to say.

Umm..by front one do you mean to the front wheels? Because there isn't one for the front wheels.

As far as the other cables, the crossover is between the rear two wheels. When I had to get mine replaced I went to the ford dealer and they brought it up on the magic diagrams they now have on the computers and got me the parts I needed.

There's a total of 3 cables as far as I know. One from the pedal to halfway down the drivers side. Then another from halfway to the drivers side rear wheel. Then another from the drivers rear wheel to the passenger side rear wheel.

Hope this helps a little...I'm sure scott will enlighten us with his treasure trove of knowledge.

I think he's saying he needs the longer cable (the one going to the rear passenger side). This one typically locks up the most often, since it takes the longest path, from the crossover to the back right wheel.
BTW, these cables shouldn't be SHO specific, any taurii with rear discs had them.

From the Helms book:
The cable from the pedal connects to the driver side cable. Driver side cable then has the connector bracket connected to it, to which the passenger side cable is connected to.
Part numbers listed are:
2853 for the cable from the pedal.
2A809 for the driver side cable.
2A635 for the passenger side cable.
2A852 for the connector, which Helms calls an insulator.
