I received some dynomax mufflers. The stainless steel tip on one of the mufflers have clamp marks all over them and couple of scratches. Is it normal to get some in this shape? The rest of the muffler is fine. The tips just bother me a little as I paid good money for them.

Thanks David

Were these new? IF so , then no, the scratches should not be there. If used, then it sounds like someone had broken stock mounts, and fabbed up their own 'design'.

I bought them from SHO source. It is not there fault. I placed the order with them and but the parts came from PA. I guess SHO source places and order from someone else for these components. It is just clamp and tool marks from Dynomax bending the tips I guess? I thought there was better quality control.....

Oh, I know of what you speak. Yeah, I have seen some of the clamp marks like that. Honestly, you will never see it. It is more of a very slight indentation rather than a scratch, correct?

My other muffler was perfect. Not one scratch. I guess this one had a hard time in the manufacturing process....

Do the dynomax mufflers sound good? Also are they loud? I have a 95 atx and i really want to put an exhaust on it. I just don't want to get pulled over all the time. There are holes in my stock exhaust and i've been pulled over twice already.... I'm sick of smelling bacon all the time!!!!

These mufflers them self are not that loud. It also depends what you have upstream(aka resonator, y-pipe, etc.). The dynomax cutback is pretty quite itself is quite.
