I picked up a Dyno Tune Nitrous kit used but do not want to put it on my mustang. It is for SC ford apps but I figured it would work on the SHO?

Its a dry kit but I want to work in a second solinoid in tandem so if one fails the other will shut the flow down. I also want to add in a filter.

Are most guys running window switches or are you spraying through the shifts?

Where are you guys mounting your nozzles. One thought I had was to get some type of distribution block and run it into the snakes themselves but that might not work since the nitrous would not be going past the maf to dump in more fuel then.

Any changes that have to be made befor running a 50-75 shot?

Anything you want to know about nitrous and SHO's is here on the forum. Everyone will tell you to search.

A dry kit is best on the SHO. You can mount the nozzle in the rubber intake track after the MAF. I have my throttle body drilled and tapped for the nozzle. The extra fuel comes via a spike in the fuel pressure to the injectors. As far as the activation, an full throttle switch is best. That way the nitrous will ONLY spray at WOT. You will need to switch your spark plugs, if they are platinum. You may also want to go 1 heat range colder. I prefer Autolite 3923's. There 1 step colder, and cost about a buck each. Make sure your fuel pump is up to the task.

Good Luck.:thumb:

Oh ok, the SHO is setup different then what I have installed nitrous on before.

So just tap a hole at the edge of the throttle body then?

If it's a true nitrous kit, you should have one solenoid for the nitrous, and there should be something to run to the stock FPR to richen the fuel mixture. Extra fuel is not added by the TPS.

Its a true kit....

All the other dry kits I have installed have been plumed in BEFORE the MAF so that the maf can signal the computer to add more fuel. This is not a zex kit, if thats how those install I don't know.

By FPR are you talking about the fuel pressure regualtor? I don't know if this kit has that or not, like I said it was for a supercharged 4.6l or 5.4l application.

Let us know how it works out. I have been eyeballin' that kit for awhile. Thats the $269 kit right?

The Zex kit has a vacuum line that goes to the FPR(fuel pressure regulator) that bumps the fuel pressure when the nitrous is being injected. Allthough im not sure if the NMU(nitrous management unit) does this only under WOT or when the unit is activated.

Ok so without that vacumn tube does the nitrous need to be sprayed before the maf like I remember the kits doing a few years back? (on ls1 camaros)
