Took the car down and we started trying to tune it myself (with a friend's help), we ran into an issue with not knowing how to change to 3 bar map sensor but we'll figure that out tomorrow. I used Torrie's tune I had in the car previously and adjusted fueling in the aux injector controller. The first pull the ECU limited the torque to 500 and boost to 15PSI. The car rewarded us on 15psi at 505 HP!!!! 15 PSI!!!!! I knew it felt fast but HEY!
You can see the car limiting the torque to 500 FLAT as a pancake.

In my previous dyno's I knew that if I unhooked the factory boost controller that I could get more boost so we did that. The car rewarded us with 23PSI on wastegate spring.

The car has another 5-10PSI available to it once I get everything figured out. We rolled into the throttle at 3K RPM and got a nice pull.

Very nice numbers! Getting very close to the reputed 700 HP limit, so extra caution is warranted here. Probably upgrade to forged internals etc before going further. Tuning is key, hopefully the engine is sturdier than Ford has let on, and if anything fails, it will be the "auxiliary" items added like T/C, aux fuel etc. Fingers crossed :)

Any highway MPG numbers? I'd really like a program that would give me less boost in top gear for cruising economy and be aggressive in any other gear. In my 6.0 diesel, anything over 2k rpms on the highway and it sucked down fuel because of the boost, even though I didn't need that power most of the time. Is there something that inherently prevents this from being done, is it being done and I don't know it, etc? It seems like with these motors being electronically controlled, this would be commonplace.

If you mean lean cruise the numbers would be close to stock. Keeping your foot out of it would be hard however so the car would make less MPG than stock since you're making more power under boost.
I was on E85 so my mileage was 30% ++ less than stock, I was averaging around 12mpg BUT I don't DD the car and was just going out romping on it. :D

Can the drivetrain support anything close to this?

Car got traded for an 11 CTS-V, the transmission was having problems shifting under load, we could see it via the gear commanded PID and it attempting to shift a few times and then succeeding after the car was well above the power curve.

The V put down 509HP on 91 octane with a 2.55 upper pulley and headers. I'm having fuel upgrades installed to allow for E85, should put down over 600HP easily which is a solid 10 second car on DR. :)

Thanks 4DRHTRD for the many interesting and informative posts - sad to see you move on, but understand the transmission is not shifting at the developed HP. Good luck with the V.

Is it possible to keep stock boost in every gear except final? I'd really like to get my 27+mpg on cruise (at 70mph, ie higher rpms) without worrying that at that speed I'm using too much boost to keep it cheap on fuel...

I don't think you are boosting at all if you are cruising at a steady speed.
