Ok I know it's important but how important? It seems that I had no dust shield on the tranny, and since I had help taking the tranny out, I did not notice there was no dust shield until after it was back in. Sliding one in there is going to be a bit of a challenge, but so is finding one.

How bad is it to run without it, and anyone have one for sale? At least shipping in priority mail wouldn't be too bad :)

I found one at a junk yard but was not wearing the right clothes to get it. I hope to make it there while it is still there. I did bend it a little bit trying to get it out sideways, then of course I seen a pic on here where it has a notch... darnit! Oh Well, live and learn, and hammer it flat. I just want to have a backup plan in case this one does not work out.

I'd much rather have it, than not. There is a fairly large hole on the rear side on the trans with out it.

You may have to loosen all of the trans bolts to get it to slide in and out.

I'm just glad the whole trans doesnt have to come out...I've forgotten mine more than once.

Thanks. Anyone have any parts around that has one to spare? I was not successful at getting the one out at the JY.

My guess would be only one off a SHO would work? I got to thinking and the car at the JY has a 3.2 auto, is that the same size shield as the 3.0 Manual? Would hate to get it then find it doesn't match up.
