It is usually much cheaper overall to buy from Tire Rack. The closest anyone would come to the price of my latest set was $15 per tire. That's $60 in the favor of Tire Rack. The shipping ($34) is less that the sales tax on those more expensive tires ($44.88). That's another $11 in favor of the 'Rack. The mounting was included in the lifetime balance charge of $10 per tire for a total savings of $71 on my last set of Bridgestone RE730s.
The Dunlop Sport A2 is an H-rated, all-season tire. The SHO was originally equipped with a V-rated tire. You should really only install a V or higher rated tire on the SHO. You might be surprised to find out that many of the max and ultra high performance tires have better wet road traction that the all-season tires. The ratings for the new A2 as shown in the Tire Rack surveys were very good, but those are probably from people that were not expecting as much performance from a set of all season rubber.
The 225/50-16 size is too short for the SHO. The 225/55-16 is much closer to the stock rolling diameter.
