Just got my SCT tuner from Livernois, thanks Rick!

Anyhow dumb question, do you save the stock tune off the car with the SCT device? If so how? I was thinking maybe it does it as a final step before it flashes a custom tune file, but scared if I proceed it will overwrite the stocker. I would like to go back and forth between stock and something else as it's the wife's car and will leave it stock for her.

Thanks,

Greg

No problem, the tuner will download and store the stock settings before you install the custom tune. It is then stored in the tuner and you can change back to stock any time you want or need it.

I have stage 2 installed and my wife has driven the car and doesn't even notice the change, unless you wife is a motorhead, I'll bet you can leave the tune installed and she won't even notice it. BTW, most of us have experienced a slight increase in MPG with the tune, so another reason to leave it installed. Good luck with the install, sure you will love the improvement.

nah she would notice, she has a lead foot LOL, but she won't remember to put premium in, BUT if i tell her increased fuel mileage that might sway her. We only average about 20-21 mpg in the car now, we live out in BFE, but do a lot of 2 lane country roads where you have to stay in it WOT to pass 4 or 5 slow cars at a time LOL.

How much better fuel mileage is typical?

I would say 1-2 mpg is about what most see...that is if you drive in a normal manner...but smashing the pedal will quickly ruin the mileage.

The MPG increase is directly related to your right foot. If you have a heavy foot, don't expect much of an increase. ;)

Cooool bikes...
