You look to have good fabrication skills and I like the idea of the scooped inlet. The two things I'd change on the EPP gen 2 that I have would be to close off the front of the box so it's not sucking in heated air from the radiator and condenser, and I would have liked to have seen the top of the box closed off.

It seems that there's a fair amount of weight put into keeping the induction air cool. Plastic conducts less heat than aluminum and with a intake port that pulls from the front grill area exclusively I would call that a plus. I never could understand sealing the top against the hood panel other than it's the easy route. Essentially the factory box with a larger inlet would be perfect with the larger filter and dual feed tubes.

Oh I got all that covered already the front is already sealed off from the engine bay and there is a a see-through lid that covers the top I just haven't posted anything yet waiting for the material. Here's the pattern I made something like this.

Yeah that is dope! Richard sent me a top section a while back. One of his prototypes. The protective layer for shipping unfortunately stuck to it. In order not to cut my grille it looks like I would need to trim a little of the edges of it but it’s cool...should throw it on there but maybe just spray it black C32478DD 84D0 4DBE 93FC 103EABC8F672

I started this project Friday I'm now 85% complete in producing dual intake airboxs. This Saturday I'll be running the first test run on two different kinds of materials thickness. The new Air boxes will be lightweight ABS plastic 1/8" and 1/4" will be testing the two to see its durability. Plus I will be designing a snorkel for more air to flow into the box and will be designing a closure of the box so no HOT air from the engine bay gets into the box..

Here's a few pics of my project

First template in black then transferred it to wood for more precise cutouts on the plastic sheet.

Front filter support so it doesn't put stress on filter for more stability. still working on that.

You can run dual temp sensors also to read actual airbox temps in each during the testing process so that you can see realtime temp ranges or infiltration......just another idea that might not have been thought about
