I am changing halfshafts and I am ready to pull the driver's side. How exactly does it come out - I know there's a clip but I am unsure of how to remove the shaft.

If you're not planning on using the old ones, a good couple of yanks usually will get them to come out. Otherwise tapping them out with a rubber mallet will usually do the trick although occasionally it may take a few good hits.

No, not reusing, I have new ones. SO I can just pry them out?

Try this for next time you replace the halfshaft and dont want to struggle with it.
Go get a new clutch put in at a shop that doesnt know what they're doing and forget to tighten the bolts that hold the axle into the transmission which eventually works itself out and leaves you stuck on the side of the freeway. Talk about making it easier for the customer to do his own repairs.

Well I haven't done this yet but I am about to put the new subframe so I will have to tacle this soon. I am all set w/the prybar - but there are bolts that hold the axle? Where? I haven't removed any bolts yet...

There are two studs that support the mid-shaft bearing.
