Driver door will not unlock.

Re; my 1990 SHO-When it gets cold, many times but not always, the driver side lock will not unlock after entering code. It does not have to rain or snow. Even the key will not unlock the door. After it warms up a bit it all works fine again. It is really pesty getting into the driver seat from the passenger side. Has anyone experienced the same problem?
It's like water/moisture has frozen in the mechanism.

the mechanism needs to be lubricated. you will need to remove the inside door panel to get in there to accomplish that task.
