I noticed today I can stand behind the driver door (closed) looking towards the front of the car, and I can see a gap between the door and the rubber seal. I got some door seals from the JY a while back and put those on, but the problem hasnt gone away.

Often, the seal gasket shrinks, so the 'rope' isn't as long as it used to be. This causes it to pull away from the pillar at the top corners. This causes wind noise, etc. It can be fixed by re-orienting the seal and leaving a small gap at the bottom where the ends are supposed to join. In my experience this won't cause extra noise.

If the seal is located properly, and you are still seeing a gap between the door and the seal material, that suggests that the seal has taken a set (in a crushed position) so it would need to be replaced.

I just replaced both of the door studs, and I stll can not get the drivers door to shut tight. There is still some play in the top of the door. I can push it still. This is really puzzling me. Any other advise?

if you like slamming your doors like so many people do, or even if you don't, just the factor of time means that the metal has definitely bent outward at the top of the door. Or in other words the window frame has bent out slightly. My parents own a glass shop and work on auto glass. They see this all the time and the only fix is to physically bend the frame back in alittle. Give it a good grab and see what you can do haha I would still first check the pin and all that to make sure its not moved or worn, but i'd put my money on the frame, ive seen it happen so many times

remove door panel and loosen the lower rear window guide nut and lower window all the way before bending back the frame. This way, when the door bends, it does not kink the guide.
