So I am getting close to 100K on my 2010PP and I am having a steady vibration above 60MPH. I just replaced the tires and it is still there (new set with different tread). It does not appear to be the familiar wheel bearing sound as the tone does not change based on steering wheel angle. It also does not change based on engine RPM. 4,5 or 6th gear it is constant drone that I can feel in the floor board and my seat and clearly hear it as well. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Most likely the driveshaft, based on location of the NVH issues. The support bearings do go bad from time to time.

I had that thought in my mind as well. What about rear wheel bearings? I did get an alignment with the tires so I would think a bad bearing would be found then but who knows in this day and age.

Driveshaft is a one piece design correct? Need to replace the entire assembly?

Not sure if 1 or 2 piece. I know on the Edge they started with 1 piece and moved over to 2 piece, so I expect it is 2 piece. The pieces are not available separately AFAIK, only as a complete unit. You may have luck buying it used, but spotting a good quality unit is best left to a mechanic.

THANKS! Thats what I am seeing as well. Hard part to find. Looks like it fits a ton of models so this might be a used part pick up.

hey im chasing this issue , well the dealer is on my 13 mks eb . Did the driveshaft first and no luck , so now its getting anew ptu at 45k . said ti was low on fluid and had internal damage .

Mine has new tires road force balance and then rechecked . hopefully once the new ptu is in it will fix it . I feel the vibration around 55-75 , it shakes my butt and the passenger seat , and i feel it in my right knee which rests on the "trans tunnel" or dash .

I thought that some of the half-shaft issues also caused a vibration like described here - do I remember that wrong?

RATA, I feel the same thing. I can feel it/ hear it coming on at above 40 now that I am paying more attention to it. A New PTU at close to 100k might be tough to swallow. Let me know how you end up.

Any issues with pulling the driveshaft and driving the car to check if thats the problem?
