Great.
And still no actual dyno results.
Frustrating....
I'm the only one that has the pipes so far, we're not putting the stockers back on to dyno again and then reinstall the PPE pipes. I've offered to personally pay someone to do a pre/post dyno once they get their pipes. You'll just have to wait until someone can do that or trust the fact that when I tell you they made they same HP as my stockers with cutouts it's an easy 20HP on my car.

Unfortunately, even when I had the catless pipes built for my car (1st one to do so, and NOT made by PPE).....

I, just like 4DRHTRD, didn't have the luxury of doing a pre/post dyno.

Now, I still have my original set of OEM downpipes, but I'm NOT willing to go through the fk'n hassle of reinstalling them, then driving somewhere that has an AWD Dyno, dyno it, only to head back my friend's shop to remove the OEM's once again, and then reinstall the catless downpipes a second time around.

Screw that. No offense. But I'm on 4DR's side on this one.

The fact that he has offered to pay someone to do this, is certainly an incredibly kind gesture on his part, and speaks volumes about his desire to see the success of PPE's product in the long term.

What I would suggest, is that anyone INTENDING on doing these pipes, is to arrange for a dyno pull of their car NOW......

Then arrange for a 2nd dyno pull AFTER the installation.

Good luck to all those jumping in on the PPE band wagon! :thumb:

What "side" are you talking about? I don't see how there are any "sides" here.
There are a few people that put a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit down on a set of downpipes from PPE. We were told they would ship out the week of March 11th.
Then we asked for some performance numbers on the pipes. Instead we got a dyno sheet with NO gains.
Any reasonable human being would understand our frustration when we have no downpipes and don't know for sure whether or not they would do anything on our cars.
I have nothing against 4DR or PPE but I don't see how it is the customers job to make sure THEIR product performs as it should. Or is delivered on schedule.
Having said that, I can appreciate 4DR's offer but I don't have an AWD dyno near me. So now I'm at the mercy of somebody else. If anyone else can help. And I'm still downpipe-less.

I understand your frustrations.

Maybe perhaps my use of "side" was simply regarding that I am in the same boat as you, 4DR, and pretty much others, just no luxury, or availability to perform a pre/post dyno.

But I agree, you'd think the vendor would do that exclusively, for obvious reasons.

Oh well. Continued good luck heading your way.

Yea, the wait for these pipes is getting OLD!! FAST!!! You shouldent promise people that put a non-refundable deposit down on a product a certian date when the product will be shipping.. Then order the parts AFTER the promised ship date.. I agree with BPD, there SHOULD have been dyno testing done pre-and post install.. That seems like something that SHOULDENT be overlooked!!! If I was investing and marketing a product, I would want the performance specs as soon as possible so I can make money!!!!!

I'm sorry for the long wait. It is a new product and we are trying to get everything done as quickly as possible. We are working on them now and should have some ready to ship this week.

If anyone has any questions please email me at [email protected], you will get a quicker response.

Regards,
Paul

I just emailed him and got a response in like 20 minutes. He doesn't get on the forums, he has a business to run, I started this topic and I put up his contact information and site information, not them. If you have a question for him call him or email and he'l give you a status pretty quickly.
