I posted this earlier today but i cant seem to find it so sorry if its a repeat thread...
So my car will lock itself at times and keep locking as if the lock button is stuck. i have to open and shut that door that was last opened for it to stop or if im driving down the road and it does it i hold the unlock button down for 30 seconds and it stops. Now for getting out of the car is a mission, i turn the car off and press unlock inside and it does it again!:squint:
Now i have to fight:fight: with it and try to open the door which takes a few minutes and doesnt help its a 100 degrees outside. So everytime i press lock or unluck on the door panel it does this. Any ideas to point me in the tight direction

Have you had to remove the driver's seat from the car recently?

That's funny. I have a car that does the same thing. It's bone stock, and I haven't done anything to it. It was fine, and then after it sat for a while, I put a battery in it and it started locking itself. Thankfully I did not leave the keys in the car after I moved it out of the way.

I picked up a 93 ATX a couple months ago and have run across the same issue (I think)
My door locks just went absolutely insane one day and would cycle from locked to unlocked several time a second. Unnerving , to say the least! Wound up using my key to lock/unlock the passengers door to clear up the problem.

Gotta love them gremlins!

No I havent i dont think its been ever removed. How would that affect this?

Is there a way of disengaging it?

The reason I asked is because there are 3 connectors below your seat. 1 for seat power, 1 for the seatbelt warning, and one for the enable switch for the autolock feature.

Now, the MTX drivers seat doesn't come with the switch, however, the connectors for the seatbelt and for autolock are identical, and can easily be confused.

Plugging in the seatbelt to the autolock switch connector will enable autolock on the MTX cars.

Ask me how I know.

There's a way to enable/disable the Autolock feture. IIRC, it has to do with entering your keypad code, then followed by a couple other numbers.
I'm sure it's on here, and more likely on www.shotimes.com
