The mood lights on the drivers door do not seem to be functioning, yet everything else work, lights in the switches are on switches work puddle lights come on when door is opened, but mood lights are not on. Has anyone ever had this problem and is this a simple fix? Please help for without these lights the car simply will not run and I will be forced to send it to the scrap yard, LOL

The mood light you speak of. This I'd the ambient light you can change colors and what not in the touchscreen?

So those are normally a module with power, ground and a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) communication. If one of those are missing or the LED pack is bad it wont operate. This led is separate from all the other lights you list.

I would dig deeper and confirm that it is a module, I just cant see what year your car is.

Is Sync uptodate? Version 3.10 (I think it applies to all Sync2?) had fixes for ambient lighting issues.

So on this 2013 taurus the HVAC module provides power to a orange, green, blue, led circuit. The LEDs share a ground.

The front door LEDs in the grab handle and the map pocket lamp share the same conector and splice of to the two led packs.

This system does not use a LIN like I initially thought.

If both lights on the drivers door do not work, the brown wire (this is the ground for the three led colors) is your culprit and is open somewhere in the door since all the other lamps work and all the laps share the same circuits.

I would put my money on the flex joint between the door and the body.

Please forgive my tardy responce/update
