Door harness

I just read a post about door handles being riveted on and it reminded me to ask this question...

I have a replacement drivers door that I am painting. The replacement door has no keyless entry pad. I know I will have to cut a hole in the doorskin to accomodate the pad but does anyone know if I will have to swap over the harness from my old door or do all the doors have a keyless entry pigtail?

If I do have to take out the harness...do I have to remove the glass and the regulator guts too?

You will have to swap the harness. The harness can come out without removing the glass but you will have to remove some of the tracks to get it out.
