I'm curious as to what is causing this. When opening the driver side door, it can take up to 40 lifts on the door handle for the door to open. Similarly, when opening the door from the inside, it can take up to 15 lifts on the handle for the door to open. I'm sure whatever gadget being used to open the door latch from inside the door is on its way out. Anyone have any ideas as to what part this is, or if there is an easy repair I can do to get this fixed?

Thanks! :thumb:

Yep--door latch. Either replace or try and clean it up some. Mine door latch was so gunked up it was taking about 2 dozen pulls before it would open..frustrating to say the least. I cleaned it up and works like a charm now. It is worth a shot. :thumb:

Mine seems to work fine from the outside, but from the inside, it was taking 10-15 tries to open the door. The handle finally just broke off.

Thanks for the responses guys. :thumb: I'll spray some WD-40 on it in hope that I won't have to rip the inside door panelling off.
