You can try Electrical contact cleaner all inside each latch. Stick the nozzle in the latch, spray liberally, open the close the door several times.

If that doesn't work, do what I did, just pull the dash bulb out.

Follow Kris's guide here on how to access the bulbs, and just rip the thing out: http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=58663

there is one wire you can pull off of the latch assembly if/when you pull the door panel. i know this because i replaced my sho latch with a slo latch.

or pull the cluster and pull the bulb. not the utmost important light in the cluster.

I have the same problem. I just cleaned and lubed all 4 latches, and played around with the buttons near the door hinges that control the dome lights. Put some **** on those too. My pass front button was not working at all till I cleaned it and lubed it and now I can manually press it in and the dome lights shut off and also shut the door and the lights go out then too. Did this on all 4 buttons after cleaning and lubing the latches and still have the door ajar light on. If you find a way to fix it let me know! It's not like it is imperative to the function of the car but it is annoying...

One way this problem can arise is that one of your doors latch is slightly out of adjustment so that the door doesn't push the turn-off button in far enough when you shut it. If you can get the light to turn off by pushing the button by hand, you should try adjusting the latch by unscrewing it from the the post and shifting it up or down a bit. And there is the Bandaid (copyright owned by Jonson&Johnson) approach: glue something a bit thicker and sturdier than a Bandaid opposite the button.
