Make sure you have two things: 1. the shop manual, 2. a torque wrench. Without these tools, you could end up doing more harm than good.

As to what else to replace, I'd highly recommend replacing the CPS and the front main seal while you're in there. The front main seal is a $7 part, and the CPS can be found for around $50. Considering the impact a failed CPS can have (i.e. dead where she's parked) down the road at the least convenient time, it's cheap insurance!

There's a forum faq/how-to for the front-end 60K which is very thorough and should include most of the information in terms of dissassembly and assembly steps, tools needed, etc.

Good luck!

I just finished the job that you are now about to do. First thing... Make sure you line up the cams and crank before removing the belt. This will just make ur job easier when it comes time to reinstall belt. Also rememmber that some of the bolts for the timing cover and some of the pulley bracket bolts are longer then others so be carefull to rememmber were all the bolts go.
Ya def dont want to bottom one out and break it off cause it was too long. I agree you should change the cps and cs seal. Its not that much more work and is a good idea to do since your already there. Go here for some good info on ur SHO as well as instructions with pictures on doing the waterpump and timing belt http://www.shotimes.com/php-bin/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=index&catid=&topic=9

The job isnt that difficult provided you have the proper tools and have a manual to reference. If you have all the neccesary tools and parts ur looking at a 3 to 6 hour job.Check these forums and run search for waterpump or timing belt and you will find tons of info on ur repair as well some good pics. You can fins some very good procedures on doing the repair here and the people are quite eager to help if you get stuck.
