I recently put pads on in the back as i drove for a good amount of time with my e-brake on. When i put pads on i saw my passenger side rotor is ******, i mean FUKED, completely chewed, worn down. I just plain didnt have the money for a new rotor so i just threw on the pads.

Obviously im going to have to change them, im finally getting a decent chunk of money and i plan on doing all the maitinence i need. My question is, how the **** do you guys change brakes? Took me a week to figure out i have to spin the caliper piston back in (im new to this, and every car ive ever done brakes on you just c-clamp the piston back in). Went to the autoparts store and got that little square tool thing that goes into the slots. Long story short, it worked for shit, it just slipped out, it took alot of pressure to spin the caliper. I ended up using needle nose pliers and busting ass for 2 hours. How the **** do you guys do this? If need be i'll do that again, but its a real pain in the ass. Any tricks?

There's a caliper kit that AZ rents out. You put the tool on your C-clamp, then apply it onto the piston of the caliper and turn it. Also I think I loosened the bleeder ****** on the caliper.

I use needle-nosed pliers when I do mine, and it's not that hard. You can also crack the bleeder screw to lessen the pressure on the piston. Just make sure that after you do it, you bleed the brakes. In fact, your brake fluid has probably never been flushed. Do a full flush of the brake fluid. Shouldn't cost you more than $20, and about an hour or so. It greatly improves braking!

Use Valvoline Synpower brake fluid!

You can't do a complete flush of the braking system without having the tool that cycles the ABS pump.
