I was wondering does the SHO share parts with the continental such as EACT, abs sensor, hub and so on?

EATC yes, but what year?

ABS sensor i would say not.

The thunderbird hub and Bolt pattern is the same. I am unsure of the Continental tho. So many things were interchanged to make the SHO its not even funny (aka thrown together pile of $hit). It is unlikely that the continental is the same hub.

actually, I saw a fairly new Continental at the mall with the Gen 3 chrome wheels on it, after I asked someone, I was told that they were an option on the Continental

I know that the EATC's in early model Continentials will fit but ones I pulled from 1995 and 1996 Continentials would not work in the SHO and some wouldn't bolt up right. I believe the amps and blower control modules are the same.

Well from what I've seen like on early to mid 90's continental, that they have the same EATC on the dash. And also to get that "brake upgrade" that people like on their SHO's, that the hub comes from the continental and that's how you get your upgrade. So if the SHO share the hub with the Thunderbird then if it has ABS the I could get the sensor off of the Bird then right? Actually if I need anything for the SHO I could possibly get it from the Bird or the continental pretty much then right? :naughty:

Yeah, just take one of your old ones in with you to match them up. You can also get them off a SLO wagon (most had rear disc).

I know the Lincoln Mark was built on the same MN12 chassis as the TBird and Cougar. I do know there is a difference in the 89 to 92 spindles and the 93+. Also, the cars without ABS were different too. The Mark had larger rotors.

I have a 1990 Super Coupe that I was looking at upgrading the brakes to the larger ones. I'd have to upgrade the spindles in order to get the job done.

But what I really need cause I don't wanna pay $100 each for the ABS sensor is to get one off of the T-bird or the Continental. Is it possible?

I got my complete rear brakes off a Contential and the abs Hardware is the exact same for a 91 . We must remember that a pre 1996 Continential is nothing more than a Lincolnized Taurus.

I have a 1990 and i might have to take the dash off because I think the leak for my AC is on or by the evaperator. The pictures of the dash swapout weren't there. Do you have another link or maybe send me some info for getting it off and out,

P.S. Your can is the ******* now. Great work.
