Im use to many manual transmission where when in neutral the shifter springs to the middle between 3-4. My sho does not do this. If you pull it out of first it says between 1-2. Is this the way it is supose to work?

The tranny in my white 92 didn't have the centering spring, my black 92s first tranny didn't center, the second tranny did, and my 93 did as well. The 93 now has tranny #2 from the black car. When I opened it up, there was only a spring to center from 1-2, but not from 5-R. I don't know if any of them have a 5-R to center spring.

Confused yet? Did I answer any questions? :)

My old 91 centered itself. As did my 95, my 92 doesn't center itself though. Are those springs in the shifter or in the tranny?

All of the MTX trannies got spring B. Some of them got spring A. These springs are wimpy at best as Terry describes. I know this doesn't help much with the situation, but at least you now can see what it is that he's talking about.

So, how if its a 95 it should spring itself? Is there a bushing or something that can get sticky. Or is it the lever itself. Im just worried cuz im not use to it and twice so far when going from 2-3 i go to 1. But have caught it and not let the clutch out.
