Do I need new engine mounts? Marks on intake crossover...

Hey everyone,

Ever since I bought my SHO I noticed this black mark on the intake crossover tube. I just did the engine mount test as per shotimes.com's instructions and I think my mounts are ok, the engine lifted evenenly both front and backwards.

Here's the pic:

That seems to be corrosion. If you had bad motor mounts, there would be a nice polished spot on the front plenum, right next to the stamped SHO letters.

Looks like corrosion. It actually looks like it's "flaking" off.

Yeah, it's kinda wierd. I guess I will remove the cross-over in the spring and spruce it up... There are not obvious chaffing marks on the black hood material...
