Okay, I'm gonna due to 96 brake upgrade and the rears need new rotors too. I've done as much resarch here as I can handle so here's the question:

I've never done disc brakes, and the last time I did drums was on my 67 bronco like 6 years ago. I really want to do this, but I don't want to invest all this money and time only to F it up.

Is it worth getting the parts and having a shop do it? I do have local Ford mechanic that will do it without an argument about liability of parts.

What do you guys think?

I think you should do it yourself. You can always pay someone if you get in over your head. At least if you try you have a good opportunity to not pay for labor. Get new wheel bearings and see if the autoparts store can press them in for you.
