I need advise, Going to replace my rear calipers this weekend because one side is locking up. Also I am going to disengage the e-brakes cables since I don’t use the parking brakes anyway because I have an ATX. I know that can cause problems for the SHO’s. Will this be ok???

Also, I want more responsive braking, especially driving in the highway. (Note: 96 upgrade has been done.) I really don’t race the SHO, but I do drive ******* it. I have read many posts regarding SS lines being better than the regular hoses. I also know that SS lines may rub against the tire if not installed correctly, and if wider tires are used. I don’t plan on changing my tire size, will that rub too? For my purposes should I buy SS lines, or just buy the rubber hoses? If so, Earl’s, Russell’s, or Goodrich ?

I have earls on my 1991 SHO with 17X8 wheels and 235/45WR-17 tires with no rubbing.

Well I just did mine tonight.. and the one cable didnt wanna budge outta the old caliper. Maybe I just couldnt get a good enough grip, but after chewing up the one, I got my battery sawsall out, and went to town. That cable is only 20 bux so screw it I thought. Other than that, I thought it was easy. Love the fact that the pistons are turned in when ya get em. :)
