OK... thanks!

Based on This page, the alternator is a Mitsubishi. Assuming This alternator, is his. On searching for parts, I get 3 different diode's. 6 actually... 3 positive, and 3 negative.. 30, 35, and 40 amps... are there any markings on them to determine what is inside there?

I haven't seen it yet.. its still on the car.. and 30 miles from here.. :)

I would guess it is based on the output rating of the alternator. 90 A would be 3x30, 120A would be 3x40.

Are they in series? I thought a "bridge rectifier circuit", the 3 of them were in a delta configuration. It's been a while... and if it was that.. It's not really in series so that math would be a little off. But then again 40 is the highest... so it would almost have to be.
