I would say yes, some interior switches are mostly the same across the board.

Yes, I replaced mine in the 90; even got it out of a Gen 2 in the j/y. They are generic for all Taurus trims and you can even use Gen 2s in Gen I cars. I got my replacement out of a 95 LX, and it works well.
