Hey all- can anyone tell me what the major differences are b/w a '89 and a '91 (both MTX)- the reason i'm asking is we have one of each and we are looking to get at least one of them in drivable condition. the 89 is minus one transmission and plus some rust, the 91 is minus one rear window and one stereo but plus some water on the floor and in the trunk. seems to drive fine other than a grinding in one front wheel, possibly a brake problem? it's been sitting for awhile. can we use parts from one for the other or are they too different? new to the SHO scene, looking for knowledge!

thanks!

The '89-'91s all share the same basic platform, hence their designation as the Gen 1s. The only major differences between the '89 and '91 SHOs are ABS and airbags, neither of which was introduced until 1990. Other than that (and a few other things which slip my mind at present), they are basically the same car.
