Anybody know how to convert degrees to celcius on a 89 hvac int/ext temp display. The owners manual says you can but don't explain how???

Thx

Look under the dash on the driver side, near the center console.
You will see a red wire with a round terminal on it, taped on a wire harness.
The connector is not atttached to anything.
Take that wire and ground it on the dash's frame with a ground bolt nearby the wire.
Put ignition ON, and see the temp now reading in °C

Well I looked hard for that red wire and connector and it's not to be found, I even removed the bottom panel under the steering to have a better view and access and also near the console up in the dash there is a bracket with a bunch of electronic boxes/relays, disconnected all of them and checked all those harnesses to and couldn't find that connector still.....could it be somewhere else???

The wire is under the dash to the left of the dash. It is under the drivers side near the chime. It is red. look near the knee panel.

I can't remember where mine were exactly, it was back in 2006. But keep looking, this is the only way to switch the reading.
Saguenay is a couple hours from here. Are you new to SHO ownership ?

Well I just spent another 35mins looking for that wire, took the bottom panel off, undid the bracket that holds the chime and all the other little electronic boxes checked all the harness in that area, reached deep up there in dash to see if it wasn't stuck somewhere up there and still no show, maybe that's the reason after 22 years it's still on farenheights....:) Maybe I will have to undo the front of the dash to expose the LCD display and maybe find the wire there somewhere!!
Anyways thank you all for help, maybe I'll have better luck next time:thankyou:

Ya maybe you can get the wire from the harness directly behind the climate control unit.
I've never seen another SHO around here while driving my SHO.
Since 2006 I can count on one hand other I have seen.

look right behind the ash tray (kinda to the left side). there is a bolt with multiple grounds on it. The wire should be around that area.

i had the problem of it flickering back and forth from F to C.
i searched the forum and found this thread....

i found my wire right above my gas pedal. Its at 10ga wire with a single eye let on it. It was rubbing up against the knee board and grounding out to cause my flickering.

I simple wrapped it up and taped it away from everything. Works Great.
Thanks guys

I did check behind that panel and there was nothing, I haven't been able to get around to it yet but I will have to pull the front of the dash to expose the LCD display cause that little wire is hiding somewhere up there.... Thx all for your help
