Good morning y'all
Anybody know how to take apart and clean the rear trunk camera lense....just wiping it is not hacking it.....it shows up blurred on the dash screen...bugging me...

You can't. It's pretty easy just to put in a new one.

I wonder if the old light abrasive (like toothpaste, etc) would work like it works on old headlights?

It's not the exterior lens of the camera that is the issue. I polished that to the cleanest and smoothest you could ever imagine. It is either something with the internal lens or the camera itself. Mine, that I replaced, was fine for quite some time. I have noticed that it is beginning to fog up again. Not as bad as the previous one, but it is noticeable. Seems to be a pretty common issue. Another Ford snafu.

Its what I suspected too ....damn it...why cant they seal them better....ugh...I notice the prices for them are all over the place too...when I have a new one in hand...I am going to try a hair dryer on the old one to see does it do anything...just an experiment

Ford doesn't make those cameras, and the ones on other brands have the same issue. My wife's Acura is so blurry you basically cannot see anything in it.

Following. Have had the same problem for years now even in a hot summer and not too much rain environment.
