It was VERY slick there, when we went through, just getting the accident cleared up. Slippery all the way home, with the Tbird.

hope everyone made it home safe! it took me a while, but once i hit 94, it was smooth sailin!

Yeah, I led SHOBill, Boat, Silverknight, and SHOracer out to I-75 via the north route, which took us to the Bridgeport exit. The road was a bit icy but IMO there was still a decent amount of grip. I'm also one of the people who will actually drive close to the centerline or half on the shoulder to get out of the icy patches

I-75 north was wet for about 10 miles, then dry the rest of the way home. The light snow apparently didn't go north of Saginaw. I-75 must've been scary as **** just to the south, because people were still all bunched up in all three lanes doing 40 mph, even though the roads were fine. Took about 5 miles and some choice curse words before I got through traffic, but by Zilwaukee I was back up to 70+

It was great seeing everyone, and I hope your drives home weren't too white-knuckled!

I pulled up to the Birch Run rd and M83 intersection not long after there was an accident just a 1/4mile down Birch Run rd, so I kept going straight (instead of the right hand turn there), then cut over to the 54 and back up to Birch Run rd right near the I75 interchange. It was also a sheet of ice at the M83/Birch Run rd intersection when I pulled up.

I wasn't as bad as glare ice on I75, but still pretty slick. I drove past 2 more multi-car accidents on the I75 Southbound before hitting Flint. I drove no faster than 50mph the whole way down, even though there were still some idiots out there doing 70+ in their Escalades and Expeditions, apparently ignoring the warning signs of the multi-car spills earlier :shakehead.

I ended up staying at my buddy's place in Flint, not knowing how roads would be all of the way down to Dearborn and it would've taken me forever if I had to do 40-50mph the whole time. It all worked out though because I partied with some friends from my school (Kettering U) that I hadn't seen in a while and lets just say I can't remember when I went to bed . So I made it back to Dearborn today just fine, well maybe a bit hungover.

I had a really great time and it was nice to see and meet everyone. Thanks again to Chris for doing the leg work and hooking us up with the early xmas presents too .

For future reference.....

Actually, Rte 83 hangs a right there at the lite to Birch Run where the accident was, and it's route 54 south of there. You can take 54 south to Clio road,then hang a right on Route 57, and get on I-75, or go a bit farther south and hang a right at Mt. Morris roadover to I-75

For those of us who live to the east/south of Flint, 54 becomes Dort Hwy, and can put you right on SB I-475 in Flint at exit 9.

Well, that would explain why everyone around me on I-75 north was panic stricken and traveling at 40 mph in all lanes, even though they were all wet!

Glad everyone made it okay!

I-75 was a little icy, took it till I got to I69 at about 60-65 all the way home, got home in about 4 hours.

They must have had those accidents cleaned up by the time I came through there, I didn't see one accident all the way home, thankfully.

Sorry we didnt make this guys , we had to deliver a car to miami on friday. Looks like everyone had a great time , We are working on placment for the superlux taurus concept at some Autoshows this winter so ill keep you all informed.

Let's try again. Lessee, 10 years old, 175K+ miles. One bad coil, exhaust is all original (hence the sound, stock muffler is probably empty!!). Oh, the dipstick tube broke! And I just got new rear springs last week...nice & level now!!

Actually, I've been impressed with the abuse and 78K miles I've put on in the last 3 years.

Better than the coworkers Chevies!! :laugh_ti:

You've definately lucked out... if you had a 4WD Chebby you'd have had a few I-shafts, at least one encoder motor and a couple 4WD switches... we may even be doing an oil consumption test because they use some thin rings and an intake gasket.
