dead tach

i have a 93 atx sho that i bought abot 8 months ago, ever since ive had the car the tach never worked, i just got done changing the cps and cid sensors, and still no tach, the car runs just fine but just no tach, does anyone know what could be causing this?

Matt,

The problem will be one of the following, most likely:

Fuse
DIS module
CID sensor
Instrument cluster (Tach portion)
Wiring to/from cluster

Check Fuse 18 in the I/P fuse box first
