Hi, This 94 atx dropped dead the other day, there was no fuel pump whine, and it had been doing the "gurgling and bubbling" noise thing so i thought the pump was rotton so I tested it and it is fine, then i replaced the fuel pump relay black box on the core support (twice) not that either. I jumped the pump so it would run then tried starting the car and it still wouldn't run.
Any suggestions??
I'm about to through a match in this nightmare of a car.

ok, tried to run the codes like the website said, nothing happened, no cooling fans came on, on pump ran, no CE light flashed,
Could it be a bad ground somewhere??
Could i be unlucky enough to get three bad relay boxes??

1. Try checking the codes again using the procedure outlined in one of the three links below in my signature. Yes, make sure all the ground connections are clean and tight. (If you still can't get ANY codes, then you could be looking at a bad CCRM, or on the outside possibility a bad PCM.)

2. Check the IFS (Inertia Fuel Shutoff) switch in the trunk.

3. Test for fuel pressure.

Thanks for the reply SHOooo, I have done all the things you said and still nothing, i have tried 3 ccrm's,could i have tried 3 bad ones?????? shrug
could it be a bad ground from the pcm? i read somewhere there is a ground wire over near the battery, do you know which one it is?
Do these cars have fusible links?? if so where are they, i cant find any.
Also where is the pcm on these babies I haven't looked yet but i guess under dash passenger side??

Thanks again for any help.

3 bad relay modules is very unlikely. There is a ground strap over toward the firewall on the passanger side by the intake. Make sure the bolts to the DIS are in place.

The PCM is accessed from behind the glove box. Push the sides in to pivot it (the glove) down and disconnect the white plastic bracket that holds the back. The wiring harness on the opposite side of the firewall has a self-contained bolt in the middle of the harness. That bolt secures to a hole in the PCM, so make sure you loosen it before you start pulling on the computer.

It sounds like you have a problem with power distribution in the engine compartment.

If you have the schematic, a meter, and an attack plan, the source of the problem will be findable with some work. If you don't have these, go straight to the alternate plan of the match.

You can download a schematic from http://www.ford-taurus.narod.ru/ For the 1994, you will need at least documents #4 (pp 8 & 9) and # 12.

A meter can be purchased from Sears or Radio Shack for about $20 for an entry level meter.

An attack plan can be developed with some information from you.

First, make a list of everything electrical that does work. Then, make a list of what does not work. Your descriptions of the problem in your car really jumps around. You have to provide specific information.
