Those of you tuned with Torrie, how often do you datalog and send them into unleashed? When and how do you decide you need to datalog? All I know is how to get the datalog on the computer and done the way Torrie wants the car ran. Know nothing about almost all the values of the parameters. Any insight as of a place on the web I can learn and understand these values would also be much appreciated.

I have data logged for Torrie twice so far and I keep trying to log during more ideal conditions for my area as I don't want to log a car in 90+ degree heat with 70+ humidity as you will be logging a car that is already going to underperform thus giving inaccurate numbers (if I am wrong anybody please correct me as I am learning all of this as well). Torrie will send you a config file to load into the livegen tool or there is a way to use the device but it can only hold one log at a time (SCT x4). Only thing I would caution is be safe with running through the gears and ensuring your maintenance and tires are all good as that is the last thing you want to fail going towards the triple digits. As far as your last question, I will datalog till he tells me we are all good and he is happy with the logs.

I send a datalog after I tune my car. I let my tuner know what I want to fix or where I want my boost turned up at low, mid or top boost level. My tuner lets me know what he can or cant do and why he cant do it, he also lets me know what I need to do to fix any problems that is going on with my car. Like right now I am having high knock and I believe it is because of my ****** sound system install, I believe it is messing with my knock sensor reading right. Torrie should be able to send you a config and every time you datalog and if there are any other problems with the config he will let you know. I heard that Torrie is awesome at tuning, just make sure you trust him and inform him in anything that you don't like and most important what you do like.

GoodLuck,

Torrie will keep revising your tune until he says it's as far as he is willing to push it, or you are happy. And obviously if you add any more mods, let him know and get a new tune and datalog that to see where things are.

I uploaded my first tune last week. Is he supposed to ask me to data log? He hasn't said anything about it.

He won't ask you to datalog. Just have to do it on your own and send him the files. Be sure to ask him for the config file so he gets the info he needs to set up ur revision.

I just received the config file from Torrie, and I followed the earlier link on this thread to see how to set up the computer to datalog, but what do I do as far as driving the car during the log, and for how long? How many times?

One log is usually enough for Torrie. A zero to 110ish mph pull with traction control off. Is normally what he wants.
