Data Display (odd/other?)

Hello everyone, I looked around and I don't really see this anywhere in a single thread, I've seen some discussion around, but I can't find anything that directly answers my question..
So here is my question.

I want to monitor and display various engine data inside my car, but I don't really want to add a bunch of gauges or gauge pods. I understand the ODB II computers in our cars monitors and reports this data and I've seen some displays that connect to those, but I haven't seen boost typically in those or some of the other information I know the data loggers can do.
So, since I have a 2010, without the fancy dash and I don't have the Nav system with the LCD (thinking about retrofitting that), what have others done?
I know there are gauges, but I want a more flexible arrangement than they allow, and I don't want to have to run t connectors and what not in my car for those.

I am open to all ideas, I am considering a Tune as an upgrade by summer. I have talked to Livernois some, and they seemed to discourage using the ODB, which confuses me, as I believe you plug into that to data log for tunes..
I figure I'll talk to Unleashed next.
But I am hoping someone else out there has a 2010-2012 with the same dash and the same nerdy ( ) desire to see what's going on with the car while your driving it that I do.

So, it breaks down like this-
Who's done data logging with display?
What did you use?
Will the odd data logging be ok to use and display if I mount an LCD to display some gauge data?

The cheapest & fastest way to datalog currently is with a Bluetooth enabled OBD II adapter (EBay/Amazon etc) plus Torque software (Android devices only at this time). If you are not in possession of an Android smartphone or tablet, add in the cost for that. All told, shouldn't be more than $125 or so for setup on the outside.

Torque will generate the datalogs (you can download them/email them in CSV format). If you step up to Torque Pro ($5 more), the sampling rate is every 10th of a second.

Be aware that this logging won't be used by the tuner you choose. They only use data obtained by their own tuning devices. However, an OBD based setup as discussed does give you the freedom to keep a close eye on your vehicle's day to day operation.

Yeah, I don't care about the logging aspect, am more concerned about virtual gauge data basically...
Logging would be nice.. but not the important..
I notice that SCT has a tuner with a 4" display, with rear camera input.. Has anyone used this and does it also work with boost?

Ok, let me as this, those who have the SCT Tuners, how does the small 4" display work? and have you hooked it to a larger display?

I highly recommend a cheap Bluetooth obd2 reader and the app Torque Pro. I use it, a lot of guys use it. You can see boost, Knock Retard, IAT, Catalyst temps, everything. Just not oil pressure.... Grrrrrrrrrr.....

All tolled, I spent $12 and have all the gauges I want displayed on my phone screen while I drive.

Yeah, I did pick up one of the wifi ODB2 and am testing dash commander out.. Am on the iPhone slate, so playing with my iPad MINI.. Trying to figure out how to mount a small display where i can actually read the gauges.. getting old sucks.. Don't like wearing glasses, so now I have to wear cheaters.. ANYWAY.. I haven't found torque for iPhone... but this seems to have the gauges I want.. just have to figure out how to get them visible and readable without having to look to my right or move my head a lot.
What have others done to do this?

You can get a phone/iPad mount that attaches to the dash or an air vent. The iPad might be a tad heavy for an air vent but there's definitely mounts.
