To each their own. Dashmats are kind of a necessity here in Arizona. I think somebody from AZ invented them.

I've had a grey one, that matches the grey dash plastic and other interior plastic closely, on mine since I bought the car in 1994. I think it looks great. It comes in 2 pieces. There's a small cutout piece that goes over the passenger air bag cover. It's supposed to blow out of the way on air bag deployment.

Besides protecting the dash, the Dashmat provides a very good mounting point for my radar detector. I just put a coupla strips of velcro tape on the bottom of my Passport and place it right on the middle of the dash. Under the Dashmat my dashboard is perfect after 9 years in the AZ sun. Using a vacuum cleaner on it every few months keeps it clean. No need to mess with ArmorAll or other such preservatives on that large expanse of plastic.

Besides if I ever have a problem with it, the Dashmat factory is located right here in Phoenix.

Man, are those things hideous! Just make sure you clean your dash regularly and you'll be fine.
I have to agree. Again, to each his/her own. If dashmats are your thing, more power to you. I personally don't go for them. I've always used Black Magic dash protectant and my dash shines brighter than any new car's interior. :D

Jason, I decided to buy a dashmat to protect my dash from warping and cracking from the hot summer days. I live in CT and the summer temps in the car can reach up to 100 degrees. Over time the heat will take its toll on the interior. Unless you can find a product which will protect your dash from the heat and the cold. If you car is garaged most of the time I wouldn't purchase one.
Personally I like mine, the one I have is made in one piece and have cutouts for the sensors on the dash, also there is a flap on the passenger side of the dash for air bag deployment. There is a option to have the SHO logo stitched into the fabric. I have a grey carpeted fabric with the SHO logo stitched on. Unfortunately I don't have any pics to show you... Hope this info helps you.

I have a '92 and I always use Armor All on the dash and other plastic interior pieces. It looks great still. And I use the no gloss kind, I forget what it's called. It makes things look extremely clean yet not too shiny.
