Dash and interior lights acting funny

This is for a 90 MTX that I just got. When i fooled around with the dimmer wheel for the dash lights (because the lights were not on) there was no dash lights even working except when I rolled the wheel all the way up to turn on the interior lights. So when i use to turn on the inside lights, my dash lights worked but when i roll it back down, I loose everything. Any ides to fix this?

Replace the dimmer switch. What color do you need? Mocha! Cause I have at least three good ones. LMK if you want.

Mine does similar quirky things, except there is a happy medium where I can roll it up and then move it slightly so the dash lights are on but the interior lights aren't. It also works on lower settings.

Actually I do but I am swapping in that whole black interior so... Start yard hoppin; I guess. I love yard hoppin'....

You can replace just the switch. Get one from a 2nd gen, they are redesigned and work much better.
