Yesterday, we installed a Corsa exhaust system on Darrell's 2010 SHO. I like it a lot. You know it's there when you're on the throttle, but like every Corsa system, it's silent when cruising, which means no annoying drone in the interior.

Ditto on the wormhole.. Btw that thing HAULS.. Silver looks great stock with stock rims too.. Keep it up have fun and master the tunes for this beast! Sounds great if I had a 2010 SHO right now I'd be ordering that exhaust as we speak.. Did you see any performance gains from the exhaust? Please tell me you dyno'd before and after :D?

Everytime we run a SHO on the AWD dyno, the graphs look weird and always have a spike when you tip into the throttle and it skews the numbers.

Below is the graph showing stock vs. CAI and tune. There are areas where it picked up 100 WHP/WTQ

Shonovalues

Yesterday it was 102 degrees when the car was on the dyno. The down low numbers were close to the same/slightly lower, but after 5,000 RPMS there are areas it picked up 25+ WHP / WTQ.

It went 12.9 before the exhaust.

The exhaust wont change anything Rick, the stock exhaust flows great from the flex pipes.. The restriction is in the down tubes. So if you want a corsa sound then spend the 1000.00 plus.. or just have a local exhaust Shop make you one..

the Down pipes are 1.75" that is where the restriction, coming out of the turbos its 3" a flex wont do anything but add sound.. research back to Sept of 2009 and you would see the data guys..

Spend your money wisely.. :salute:

So you are saying have a muffler shop change out the downtubes for sound?

Thanks fellas, and thanks Rick for posting the video and dyno graphs (I really need to get a little more savvy with posting pics/video/scans etc on here.

I put on an exhaust, mostly because I didnt like the "mouse-y" quietness of the stock car. I chose Corsa because of the reputation for no interior drone. IMO the car is a little on the luxury side and I didn't quite want the sound of my Kooks/Bassani Lightning. That said I think the car sounds pretty good. I'm not real fond of the sound of the 4-6 cylinder cars.

Kirk, it actually did pick up some power up top, from 5000+ rpm.

I went 12.90's before the exhaust, dont plan on running any quicker with the exhaust, but maybe with some of the trans programming. That said I dont really plan on running any quicker this summer. The temps have been 90+ and this car definately doesnt like the heat. I usually hot lap when I first get to the strip before letting it cool down for an hour or two and the times routinely drop .3-.4, I do have some plans in the works to work on over the summer and hopefully be ready for fall. In the meantime, I want to paint these calipers and probably work on some underhood cosmetics.

I would love to be the first sub 12 second, single power adder (TT) 2010-2011 SHO and will work until that happens!

I too offer my thanks for the video and sound track.

Not really my cup of tea, reminds me very much of a Porsche Turbo 6 sound which to me doesn't quite fit the image of the car.

Seems to me that it has always been hard to get a good exhaust sound out of a V6 and even harder to get a good sound out of a Turbo equipped car regardless of how many cylinders it has.

I had a couple of Chevy 6 cylinder cars in the late 1950's with headers and glass packs and you could hear the damn things for 2 miles. That sound was kind of cool I thought but the neighbors hated it. I now have a 56 F-100 with a built 300 CI 6 cylinder motor with headers and triple Webers and I actually had to "muffle it down" with close to stock mufflers. The drone in a truck with no sound deadening would drive you nuts.

Still, it is part of the traditional method of modifying an engine and I applaud Corsa for introducing a system for a car that is probably not going to see a tremendous sales volume.

Not to beat up on the subject, but I did put a Bassani exhaust on my '99 Lightning, paid about what Corsa is asking today in 1999 dollars, and it gave me if I remember correctly about 3 RWHP on the dyno. Sounded nice though.

I looked throught the SHO Club Convention page, which is where I "thought" I saw it, but I guess not. Good info here, anyway:

http://www.shoclub.com/page.php?51

Usually Registration is in a room off the Lobby from about 8-5 on Monday, then I would say from 8 AM until maybe Noon on Tuesday, but I don't know about after that.
