dampeners?

89 1st gen. There are mini shock's atached to the strut towers in the engine compartment. they look worn any part number's for them i am assuming they are dampener's.

Those are engine roll dampers and absorb the sharp impacts that can be created with a clutch. They shield the motor mounts from the high energy shocks from drop clutch starts and mis-clutched shifts. They are there for a reason, but the use of reinforced motor mounts can partially make up for their abscence.

They may look worn, but their function may be good if they take a significant effort to compress or extend. It is usually the rubber mount bushings that wear out first.
