Dammit, got rear ended!

Yup, hit me in the right side. Bumper got the hit, also the light and rear fender are messed up on that side. The bumper doesn't fit right. The (old) guy was driving a newish GM fullsize van. It hit hard enough to trip the circuit breaker in the trunk. They were right behind me (stopped), and then bam. They weren't even looking when they hit.
I feel ok, but I can't believe this. I'm signed up for Carlisle, now this crap.

is it still drivable??? How bad is the damage....fixable or not worth it.

That is one thing I fear when I drive my 89 around. Something that is almost impossible to avoid or out of my control.

That sucks, man. That's the second time in three years. Sounds like the other guy was at fault.

Be sure to price out used parts before insurance guy looks at the car. If you are lucky, you will be able to get a chack for something under the car's value, then go from there. As long as the doors open smoothly, and the damage does not travel too far up the side.

Let my uncle know what you need to fix the car. He should still have parts from the two donor cars.

I'm still coming of course. The car is drivable and the damage is not noticeable from afar. I can see that the rear fender and filler panel need fixing- the taillight is an easy fix, the bumper is fine (pretty much). The bumper mount on that side might need replacing also. I'm not hurt (as far as I can tell ), so its not as bad as it could have been. No reason not to come.
