I just got done changing my oil and upon doing inspection I noticed ripped cv boot. Its on the drivers side. Anyone know how much I'm gonna hafta shell out for one? How hard are they to put in? I think I will replace the whole thing because I have a few clicks in my steering when braking hard.

Try to ge the Moog because they are greasable. There are others brands that are just fine too,it`s just nice to have them greased.Because of availability at the time,i have 1 Moog and 1 non.I`ll see if the greasable holds up longer. They are less than $100,so it`s not a bank breaker. They can be easy to install, depending 100% on how all the bolts come off.

Worn CV joints don't show up during braking. That would be warped brake rotors. Worn CV joints sound like clickers as you accelerate through a tight turn. If there is still grease in the joint, it probably just needs to be cleaned out and regreased before installation of the new $10 boot. You do need a 30mm hub socket to remove the hub nut.

Duck tape, definitely duck tape! LOL
I don't know why, but when I took the axle shafts off of both of my taurii, it was just a major pain, literally. I can't get the lower control arms to come out of the steering knuckles. If it would pry out like the book says it does after you remove the pinch bolts, I think it would be a pretty easy job.
