I installed the cobra calipers yesterday and my earl's stainless lines fit, but they look like they are a little strained and full suspension extension. I think that if i cut the spring the extra slack that would be gained would be make me feel more comfortable. Is there any reason not to cut that spring? Other stainless kits Ive seen do not that spring.

The spring is there for strain relief. I would not remove it. Are you expecting you SHO to frequently have the suspension fully extended (lots of air time)?

Go for it.

Theres really no use for that spring unless its rubbing on something, or the line is being stressed close to the fitting.

All my springs are removed with no problems.
