There are little to no options for lowering the gen 3, I read somewhere that because the Moog springs has a dead coil, you can cut it without having too much of a ride/bounce difference. Has anyone done this, have experience with it or pics?

Thanks

Joe

Also I still have stock struts, the rear is still stuff, but the springs are a little SAS, the fronts are still high. Will I need new struts?

The struts on these cars can last a remarkably long time. If they are still working well and not leaking, I would not consider replacing them. Additionally, there are pretty much no OEM ones left in the supply chain, so you are to finding ones in scrap yards or shifting to non-SARC struts. You might want to hold that off as long as you can, as the OEM struts remain the best you are going to find for the car.

If we can get 15 people we can make the springs at SHO Source.

The Gen3 do not have dead coils.

IMHO, Cutting springs always makes it ride worse. I've had numerous cars with cut springs, and I've cut a few as well. The manufacturer designed the springs a certain way for a reason, and changing that will make them ride worse. Sometimes they can decrease the life of the struts as well.

Okay thanks! Do you know about cutting Moog springs?

I agree with Tim. Cutting springs never seems to work well. I do not know enough about the Moogs to tell you anything specific.

The Gen3 do not have dead coils.

Far too frequently, instead of being dead, they get finicky. Most of the time the work but occasionally they do not. Eventually it gets worse and the go completely and are then much easier to find because finding one in its intermittent stage is a real PIA.
