Cut Intrax.

I couldn't stand it any longer.. ok ok, it wasn't actually planned. I was changing the front struts last night and when I saw the springs laying on the ground I saw the opportunity. Unlike the eibachs on my '95 that lost two I only took a coil off the intrax. I didn't have my camera with me so I snapped a few pics of the springs being cut with my phone.

I didn't think about it.. I have a set of new eibachs assembled on struts in the garage, I should have pulled them apart to compare to the intrax before I cut them... ohhhwell

made it quite a bit shorter then stock springs

That looks good. What kind of wheels, and size tires are you running?

17x7 Enkei RS5s. Tires are 245/45s

If anyone remembers how low RI-SHO was, those were cut eibachs. May have had more than 2 coils cut off them by they way they moved around when the car was jacked up. Excellent stance.

looks good i did the same cut one coil off the intrax with koni struts. but you have bigger tires, so yours looks lower if your just looking at the wheel gap.

but mine is pretty low all the way around i cut the back too!

Looks just slightly lower than mine w/ the cut Intrax. Probably because its an ATX.

If you cut two coils off the Eibach's they don't sit flat in the strut hats, and you get all kinds of rubbing noise from the spring seat rubbing on the strut tower. I wouldn't recommend taking more that 1 coil off.

Car looks great on Intrax with 1 coil cut.

What is the color name/code?

I dont know how soon he's going to see this. So, I'll answer as best I can. The name is something shadow grey I believe, its off of the newest Pontiac Grand Prix's. The pics dont really do it justice. The paint needs a few details worked out, but still looks good.

Full car pic.. I'll see if I can get another one, this was on my trip this weekend when we had the car loaded down, the rear was sitting 1/2" lower then usual.

how far do you think it lowered the car by cutting one full coil? 1 inch?? I put the koni intrax setup on my car and it seems like the front never lowered compared to stock.
