Not to me it isn't. If it isn't helping me to make more HP, then it's a waste of time and money to only hear the turbos. However, that's my opinion and I'm sure others would disagree.

I love have almost zero turbo sound, but my BOV's vented to atmosphere make me smile....ALOT.

General consensus is the CAI does almost nothing.
Tuners: I had LMS and it was decent, but I had better luck with my Brew City Boost and Gearhead tunes though.
IMO everyone should get a Gearhead tune for the octane adjust. 3 times now I have gotten 'sub standard' 93 and my knock goes up. Drop Matt's tune in and burn off the tank. (Its actually really good anyway). Cant comment on the rest as I never used them. From lurking for the last 3 years and the people I now know...Unleashed is also real good.
(FYI multiple tuners and LMS do not mix. LMS has an exclusive box)

It was cool here in Dallas today and I could hear the turbos spooling with the stock airbox.

I have never really heard mine until yesterday. Cooler here in MI yesterday too and I just got the initial LMS tune loaded. Huge difference from stock.

There's a member on here that ran the 1/4 mile at track and switched out the CAI for each run including the stock box and his times were darn near exactly the same.

I had an MDesign CAI that produced the most sound - love that one but I think it was actually more restrictive just because its a smaller cylinder, I don't know, but now I run Windstorm and can hear it under the right conditions. I don't have a blowoff mod but sometimes I floor it and then lift off and there's a very noticeable woosh sound and I get motorheads that know the sound look over at me. Yup, just a grandma's Taurus!! :burnout:
