Both seem like good setups. I don't know if there is a limitation on the boost levels with the shaft driven setup. There have been many belt driven setups out there, and not many shaft driven ones.

all superchargers are belt driven, the shaft is just an extension of the pulley on the supercharger. I like the fps setup becaus eit still uses a draw through MAF and there is not as much intake tubing to deal with. The sho shop setup has the simplicity of mounting the blower on the side of the motor with the accesories and more room for an intercooler if you so desired.

You can still run your MAF under Vacuum and not on the pressure side with a SHO Shop kit. You simply extend the MAF wires or cut the wiring harness apart and pull the MAF wires out. From there, you can mount it anywhere you please. Mine will be in my fender on the suction side of the blower. The spot that SHO Shop leaves for the MAF will be straight pip and that is where I will inject water.
