New to the forum and the sho life. I have a 2011. Took my car to the dealership to tint the Windows and fix the trim around the trunk release button, when I got it back the lid for the cup holder to the right of the shifter is acting like it's getting caught up on something. It's not just popping open when I press on it. I have to press to unlock it and then push on the outside of it for it to open. Anyone had a similar issue or have any advice on how to fix it please let me know. Thanks

yeah, bring it back to the dealer and tell them someone broke it :)

Is it straight across, or at an angle?

I'm taking it back. Not sure I want them to touch it anymore though. It's sitting straight, just seems like it's hung up. I'm sure it's something underneath. I don't know if someone was resting there arm on it and pushed it down and screwed it up or what.

The panels around it are just clips should be able to pull them to take a look at it

Trunk button is part of the trim piece to right of the cup holder.
Open your center console and start pulling up on that piece from the back.
It will pop off one clip at a time, when you get to the dash be careful as the trunk button harness will still be connected.
Reverse steps to install.

Yeah they were suppose to replace that piece today. Tabs were broken above and below the trunk release button. Instead they used glue. Huge idiots. Unfortunately for them my fiancé was picking up the car, and after seeing it, completely lost it on them. After that they ordered the part and will have it in a couple days. But I seen the screws holding all that stuff in when I looked underneath the trim. It looks like it's attached to the housing for the shifter so hopefully I can fanagle it up out of there.

When my little brother simply broke my cup holder piece I had to order a completely new one, as I did not want to drive with a broken piece there. I managed to do all the installation job by myself, as it required just a couple of simple tools (including a flat screwdriver). I simply unattached the clips (the piece is clip-on), and replaced the cup holder (https://www.carid.com/cup-holders/). But when they break or damage something at the dealership, it really frustrates :cussing:
