Creaking Noise from the Suspension when Turning?!

It was something that my dealer took 4-6 weeks to get figured out...what a PITA that was...

Mine turned out to be bad coil packs for the plugs. They were shorting I guess and fouling the plugs as well. They replaced 2 or 3 of the coils and all the plugs. Interestingly, my highway mileage has been as good as 30mpg now! Never thought I would see such a thing from a car this big with this much HP.

Oh and my creaking was a bushing in the right front suspension. They swapped it out and alls quiet... for now.

Ford has worked on my popping noise for over a year. I have many threads about it. After they did a 'fix' it reappeared less than a month later and now they claim they cannot 'recreate' the noise and apparently I'm the only one that can hear it.

I also now have a loud clunk in the front of my car if i go over a bump. Sounds like something is loose. I also have transmission issues so I'm taking it into the dealer beginning of next week. I'm sure the transmission will be fixed but i'll probably go home once again with the popping noise and more than likely the clunking noise too.

Yeah my creak is slowly coming back as well. Its annoying man. This is a luxury sedan and sounds like an old Oldsmobile when I am driving slowly through a parking lot. Ridiculous. Spaz, do tell about these tranny issues? What symptoms? I am still having issues with the drive-ability of mine after the completion of several TSBs. I am getting confident that I will never get a chance to experience a tune on this car as I cant even get it to run right stock! No way am I gonna risk voiding my very expensive extended warranty by tuning it. :-(

Transmission issues are kind of what everyone else has described (i backread a bit since i havent been on in awhile)

Depending on how I accelerate from a stop it seems like it stalls and then a bump when it seems like its finally getting into gear.

The ones that make me cringe are when I'm slowing down or cruising at slow to moderate paces and it tries to downshift or something and it just slams into gear.


There is one thing going on my with car that is new and I'm a bit concerned about. When I go over bumps there is a noticeable clunk noise in the front almost as if something is loose. It also clunks if there is an obvious change in slope in the road. I may ask to test drive a new sho when i drop this one off for a point of reference on the noise.

Do you have popping noises coming from the front end as well? I still get them when i'm going under 5mph through a parking lot (turning slightly either way) or when I put my car into gear after it sits awhile. The dealership has yet to duplicate the noise even when they had the car for multiple days.

Mine is more like a creaking when I am moving slowly (like in a parking lot) and swing the wheel side to side, when the car lightly rocks left right, I hear an obnoxious creaking from the front right suspension area. They did some work on it a while back and it was gone, but its coming back now. Funny, cause they act like they have never seen such symptoms, but I have heard of many people with the exact same symptoms with these cars.

Not to defend the dealers, but since teh SHO are rare, most of the dealers have only sold 1 to 5 SHO since the new Gen 4 exists... So the probability of having the same symptom with the only few other buyers is thin... For sure in this forum, we are many that pay a lot of attention on our car and discuss about every single thing about it, so it seems that sometimes the problems occur more than they really do on all the cars produced.
