What I thought would be a simple job of replacing the crankshaft position sensor has turned into a huge headache. I can't get the single bolt holding it to the block removed and I think it may be rounded off fairly good at this point. Anyone had this problem or have any suggestions on how I can get this bolt removed? There is much room in there but I was thinking about loosening the subframe bolts on that side to try and gain some additional room to hammer on a smaller socket. Anyone ever tried this on the CKP sensor before?

Good luck. The bolt also has a tendency to break off, so be aware of that.

Still no luck getting this bolt off. Tried cutting a groove into the head to then use a flat head screwdriver but it still isn't moving.

Good luck. The bolt also has a tendency to break off, so be aware of that.

Is this speaking from experience? If so how did you go about fixing the problem after this happened? This bolt doesn't want to budge and if it does I have a feeling I could be in store for the same problem.
